SIGHT, SMELL & TASTE

Saturday is market day in my village. And as someone who I know loves to get up early the weekends to surf, has become our routine visit the beaches all round in search of waves and then go to the market to buy some fruit (I must admit that I love this routine, although at first it costs me to get up :)
Strolling through the market is a real pleasure for the eyes, nose and of course, for taste :). My favorite part is where the food stalls are(I have to confess that eating is one of the things I enjoy in life :)) Vendors are always very friendly and do not hesitate to bring you a piece of any product, no obligation, and
the truth is that I always buy something because everything is so tasty and looks great. I can not resist!

The first thing you notice is the variety of stalls there, and the many quality products that you can find. Fruits, vegetables, fish, meat, flowers ... different shapes and colors that make the market a lovely place.
This week strawberries were very good looking, so I bought a kilo, thinking of lunch with the girls. Below I show you how we decided to eat them (so tasty!).

The great variety of flowers also provides beautiful colors.

Patel colors are everywhere this season! :)

And here is the recipe I made with the girls in the afternoon. I enjoy so much these girls evenings cooking, talking about our stuff, reading fashion magazines, taking pics or just laughing :)

COLORFUL MALTA

I love to travel, is something I enjoy to the fullest. Meeting new places, tasting different foods, making friends. I am one of those who believes that all places have something special.
Some time ago I was in Malta with one of my best friends. This small Mediterranean country is composed of three small islands: Malta (the largest), Gozo and Comino.
The most common is to stay in Malta, as we did, and organize trips to the other islands, where you can find idyllic corners to explore and get lost. If you are planning to go, I recommend you the summer, although it is so hot, is also the busiest time to enjoy the Maltese night.
Once there you can not miss places like the Blue Lagoon in Comino (never seen water so turquoise, as well as warm), Blue Window (an impressive weathered rock as a window), Blue Grotto, with its caves and cliffs , La Valletta (the capital) and the walled cities of Medina and Rabat, very representative of Maltese architecture.
Another thing unique to Malta are, undoubtedly, the buses. Yellow, seem to be taken from a 70´s movie, and best of all, with leather seats, ideal for heat! Despite this, transport works very well, and I fell asleep every time I sat in those buses, maybe because of the movement caused by bumps in the road, or because I was so tired.
In terms of food,  there are Italian and Arabic influences. It is normal to take a slice of pizza close to the beach before clubbing (or after, why not!). As we were living with Maltese people, I could try several traditional dishes from there. I usually like everything, but sometimes those dishes were a little spicy. One thing that surprised me a lot was that they used to take hot soup for dinner (see at 7 pm and 40 degrees). So you can imagine, including soup, spicy food and heat I was sweating all day long!
Just talk about my trip brings me good memories and makes me smile.
, Malta is a very charming location and excellent for a holiday with friends or couples. But remember to  bring your coolest clothes because the heat is stifling, especially in the months of July and August. I leave the pics, hope you enjoy.
In short

P.D. 15 aprox.)
 Mil besos y feliz tarde!

P. S. As a curiosity say that on the island of Comino were shot several films including Troy, starring Brad Pitt, I leave here a video I found on youtube (sec. 15 aprox) Hope you like it.
